The vision of tree lover Mr Alex Neo had led to the creation of Bottle tree park. Mr Alex a tree lover got the six rare bottle trees and other exotic plants from Australia for more than $100,000. Afterwards, he and two other man had a vision to get people to enjoy themselves and also allow people that life can be a lot more meaningful as many in society hasd always been strivng to climb the cooperate ladder, and often forget that an individual’s existence people around them to make it more meaningful. Now , at bottle tree park , visitors can find many activities that will allow people to enjoy themselves with family and friends. Also visitors can also see Grass trees, giant ferns and palms and 30 different kinds of fruit trees.

Kranji War Memorial

Kranji War Memorial

The Kranji war memorial is built to honor the men and women who were not of Singapore but had died to defending, many whom were from United Kingdom, Canada Sri lanka and other countries Singapore during the second world war. The memorial consist of the War Graves, the Memorial Walls, the State Cemetery, and the Military Graves. The memorial unique structure, which represents the three branches of the military. The columns represent the army, as they march in colums. The cover over them represent the Air Force, and the shape of the periscope represent the navy. The memorial is also inscribed with the names if the 24,346 names of the allied serviceman whose bodies were never found and these names are spread over both sides of 12 columns of the war memorial itself. Surrounding the memorial are where many of the soldiers are buried.

Haw Par Villa

Haw Par Villa

The Har ParVilla, also known as the tiger balm gardens, was constructed by the creators of tiger balm, Aw Boon Haw and his brother Aw Boon Par, in 1937. Later they sold it to the Singapore Tourism Board in 1979, before it was reopened1990. It was created as a venue for teaching and preserving Chinese traditional values. The park has many special attraction and many statues that centre around Chinese folklore and legends. Many morality tales that show classical battle between good and evil. Some tales are also tributes to famous pugilist, like the famous tiger killer, Wu song who killed a tiger with his are hands. The most well-known attraction is the Ten Courts of Hell, with gruesome depictions of hell in Chinese mythology, all set in a 60 meter-long trail of a Dragon. But now the park is in a rundown state.

Thian Hock Keng Temple

Thian Hock Keng Temple

The Thian Hock Keng Temple is the oldest and most important hokkien temple in Singapore. The main temple is dedicated to Mazu, the Taoist goddess of the sea and protector of all seamen, while a second temple at the back is a Buddhist one dedicated to Kuan Yin, the bodhisattva of mercy.

After Singapore became a trading port, many Chinese immigrants built a small temple to give their thanks to the goddess for their safe passage to Singapore. In 1839, Thian Hock Keng temple was built on the same site, with the renovation cost of $30,000 being covered by devotees, one of them the philanthropist Tan Tock Seng and many other successful merchants.. The temple also served as a school and community centre. A stature of the goddess was also sent to the temple from china to be installed n the prayer hall. Although no expense was spared to build the temple, many materials were recycled from boats and broken mosaic to form the temple‘s roof. In 1907, the temple received a calligraphic panel from the emperor of china form the Qing Dynasty, the most precious gift it has received.

Thian Hock Keng Temple was gazetted as a national monument on 6 July 1973.

The temple’s architechual style was of southern china. The temple’s grand entrance has a high step in front while the side entrance is potrayed with peacocks, roses and the Buddhist swastika in green and brown, which represents good luck, eternity and immortality. The doors have pictures of tigers, lions and door gods, who are the traditional sentinels of any Taoist temple . Behind them, you can find courtyards, with the temple’s proper, Ma Cho Po and on the either side of the temple you can find two pagodas; the left a shrine for Confucious while the other houses the ancestral tablets of immigrants who founded the temple.

Downtown East is a location comprising of two theme parks, namely Escape Theme Park and Wild Wild Wet.
